GCSE Maths & Science Tutoring
Build Your Confidence in GCSE Maths and Science
Preparing for GCSE Maths or Science can feel overwhelming when specification content moves quickly and past papers begin to pile up. We provide tailored one-to-one and small-group tuition to help your child understand difficult topics, practise effectively and approach assessments with greater confidence.
Whether your child needs support with algebra, forces, organic chemistry or exam technique, we focus lessons on the areas that will make the biggest difference to their learning. We offer tuition for students studying Foundation or Higher Maths, Combined Science or Triple Science.
Get Support Matched to Your Course
Every student learns differently, so we shape sessions around your child’s current knowledge, schoolwork and areas of difficulty. We cover relevant specification content alongside worked examples, guided practice and exam-style questions where appropriate, helping your child see how to apply what they know under exam conditions.
We support students across major GCSE exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel, OCR and others. Your child can receive support with:
GCSE Maths, at Foundation and Higher tier
GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics
Combined Science and Triple Science courses
Topic revision, homework support and exam practice
Exam technique and confidence with longer or unfamiliar questions
Regular homework helps reinforce learning between sessions, while practice questions give your child material they can revisit as they prepare for school assessments and GCSE examinations.
Choose Tuition That Fits Your Family
In-person lessons take place at our Buckinghamshire base, offering a convenient option if you are willing to travel from Weston Turville, Tring, Aston Clinton, Stone, Milton Keynes, Buckingham and the surrounding area. We also offer online tuition across the UK through Zoom. We do not offer home visits.
One-to-one sessions provide focused individual support at £40 per hour. Small-group sessions cost £35 per hour, with a maximum of four students in each group. We organise groups by similar ability so your child can learn in a supportive setting while still receiving attention for the topics they need to improve.
Know What to Expect From Each Lesson
Lessons begin with your child’s immediate needs, whether that means filling gaps in subject knowledge, working through a challenging class topic or preparing for an upcoming test. We explain concepts clearly before putting them into practice through examples and questions, allowing your child to build understanding rather than simply memorising answers.
As tuition continues, we provide regular progress feedback for parents. This creates a clearer picture of what your child has covered, where confidence is growing and which areas may need continued attention. We set homework regularly to keep learning active between sessions and give your child further opportunities to practise independently.
Keep Learning Focused
Understanding the links between topics can make GCSE revision more manageable. When your child practises applying methods, explaining scientific ideas and checking answers carefully, they build knowledge that can be used across different questions.
GCSE Maths and Science reward clear thinking, careful working and regular practice. Building these habits over time can help your child approach unfamiliar problems with greater understanding and confidence.
