A-Level Chemistry Tutoring

Build Confidence in A-Level Chemistry

A-Level Chemistry demands more than recall. You need to understand how organic mechanisms connect, work through multi-step calculations accurately, apply practical knowledge and interpret unfamiliar exam questions, often within the same paper. Tailored A-Level Chemistry tutoring helps you make sense of the subject and approach assessments with greater confidence.

Whether you are finding Year 12 content difficult to secure, need support with a particular topic or want to refine your technique before Year 13 exams, lessons are shaped around your current needs. Tuition is available in person or online via Zoom.

Turn Challenging Topics Into Clear Understanding

Chemistry becomes more manageable when each topic is broken into logical steps. Rather than relying on memorisation alone, the focus is on helping you understand why reactions happen, how concepts link together and how to choose the right approach when a question looks unfamiliar.

The full A-Level specification can be covered for all exam boards, including:

  • Organic, inorganic and physical chemistry

  • Year 12 foundations and Year 13 content

  • Calculation-heavy topics explained step by step

  • Required practical knowledge and scientific application

  • Exam-style questions and effective exam preparation

This approach gives you time to ask questions, revisit areas that have not yet clicked and practise applying your knowledge in the way your exams require.

Learn in a Way That Suits Your Starting Point

Every lesson is tailored to where you are in your studies. If a topic has been missed or feels confusing, sessions can focus on rebuilding the knowledge needed to move forward. If you already understand the content but lose marks in tests, lessons can concentrate on interpreting questions, structuring answers and working efficiently under exam conditions.

Relevant specification content is covered alongside exam-style questions where appropriate, so you can see how classroom learning translates into assessment. Homework is set regularly to help reinforce topics between lessons and identify any areas that need further attention.

Choose One-to-One or Small-Group Support

One-to-one lessons provide focused support that is entirely centred on your goals, strengths and areas for development. Sessions are £45 per hour. This option can be particularly helpful when you need to work through difficult concepts at your own pace or prepare for a specific assessment.

Small-group lessons are available in a supportive setting for up to four students of similar ability. At £40 per hour, these sessions allow you to learn alongside others while still receiving targeted guidance. The small group size helps ensure that questions can be addressed and that everyone has the opportunity to take part.

Benefit From Experienced, Thoughtful Tuition

Lessons remain clear, supportive and focused on genuine understanding, not simply rehearsing answers.

As your understanding develops, lessons help you link mechanisms, calculations, practical methods and scientific explanations. When you face unfamiliar questions, lessons help you identify the command word, select the relevant chemistry and show each step of your reasoning clearly.
