Answers to Your Tutoring Questions

Finding the right academic support can help your child feel more confident with difficult topics, prepare effectively for assessments and make steady progress in their studies. We provide tailored Maths and Science tutoring for Key Stage 3, GCSE and A-Level students.

Whether your child needs regular support, focused revision or help preparing for exam-style questions, we shape lessons around the specification they are studying and the areas where they need the most guidance.

Find Support for Your Subject and Stage

We tutor students at Key Stage 3, GCSE (Key Stage 4) and A-Level (Key Stage 5). Support is available across the following subjects and levels:

  • GCSE Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics

  • A-Level Maths, Further Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics

  • Key Stage 3 support

  • All major exam boards, including AQA, OCR, Edexcel and others

What exam boards do you cover? Sessions are tailored to the specification your child is studying, including the relevant content, topic requirements and exam-style questions. This means tuition can stay closely aligned with school learning and assessment expectations.

Choose in-Person or Online Learning

We offer both in-person and online tuition, so you can choose the format that best suits your family. In-person lessons take place at our base. They are well suited to families in Weston Turville, Tring, Aston Clinton, Stone, Milton Keynes and Buckingham who are happy to travel for tuition. Home visits are not offered.

Online lessons are delivered through Zoom and are available to students across the UK. This provides a practical option for families who would prefer to learn from home while still receiving focused, tailored support.

Understand What Each Lesson Includes

Lessons cover the relevant specification content and give students opportunities to work through exam-style questions where appropriate. This approach helps students build their understanding while becoming more familiar with the way knowledge is assessed at GCSE and A-Level.

We also share OCR A-Level Physics exam walkthroughs on YouTube and A-Level Maths exam questions on TikTok.

Homework is set regularly to build on what has been covered in each session. Worksheets are also provided to reinforce learning, giving students a clear way to revisit topics and practise between lessons.

How much does tutoring cost? Our one-to-one tuition costs £40 per hour for GCSE Maths and Science and £45 per hour for A-Level subjects. Small-group sessions cost £35 per hour for GCSE Maths and Science and £40 per hour for A-Level subjects. Small groups have a maximum of four students and are arranged with students of similar ability.

Learn with DBS-Checked Support

We design each lesson to give students the time, explanation and practice they need to work towards their own academic goals.

All our tutoring is DBS-checked, helping families feel reassured about the support their child receives. One-to-one and small-group options allow students to learn in a setting that suits their confidence, pace and preferred level of interaction.

Prepare for Productive Lessons

Bringing class notes, recent assessments and questions about difficult topics can help identify priorities for a lesson. Regular practice with specification content, homework and exam-style questions helps students strengthen understanding and prepare for assessments over time.
